Can TMJD cause pulsatile tinnitus and ear ache?

Can TMJD cause pulsatile tinnitus and ear ache?

I've had pulsatile tinnitus for over 5 years (arrrgh!). I frequently, but not always hear a whoosh, whoosh of blood flowing nearby my ear. MRIs of the brain and neck have shown nothing, neither did angiograms or ultrasounds. Where should I go next?

Also, does this sound like TMJD? I do have tense jaw muscles, and grind my teeth at night. I did feel/hear a popping in my jaw once, but mostly its just a slight notchiness… is this what dentists refer to as “clicking?”
