Getting to Know the Quit Smoking Pill

Is there really such a thing as a quit smoking pill? As a species, we have progressed quite well; we can fight man diseases with a simple pill. There is a pill for almost any problem that we may face, such as weight problems, pregnancy, colds, blood pressure, etc. Some quit smoking pills are slowly making a name for themselves too!.

Those of you who are thinking about quitting smoking will find that there are tons and thousands of products that are available for sale in the market. Quit smoking pills are one option among the masses. These pills are manufactured to treat withdrawal symptoms and also help you counter the urge to want to smoke. Two main players in this class are Wellbutrin and Zyban. Zyban is designed to stimulate the pituitary gland which in turn releases endorphins. Endorphins make people feel good.

If a quit smoking pill is right for you, be prepared to take it for up to three months. One thing to keep in mind, make sure to take the pill the full length of time as stopping use can result it no benefit to you.

When you consume the stop smoking pill for the first week, you can smoke cigarettes but from the second week you can not smoke at all. If you have been using Zyban for seven weeks and you are still continuing with smoking then there is a very good chance that you will not be able to quit smoking and you should stop taking the Zyban smoking pills.

Quit smoking pills can be very costly and other alternatives might fit your budget. If the side effects of these pills concern you, I suggest seeking other options to kick the habit. Other alternatives include hypnotherapy, nicotine gum, and nicotine patches.
