Do you want nothing more than to remove acne scarring? Does it make you feel unattractive or ashamed? I used to have the same problem; I was cursed with acne scars right from my late teens until my early thirties. My confidence had plumeted, my social life was non-existent so I couldn’t find a boyfriend and if I did my confidence got in the way and so it never worked out.
Nothing I tried ever made any difference and I had tried as many things as I could afford; including all the creams I could lay my hands on, I even considered cosmetic surgery but it’s expensive and could cause further damage. Luckily for me I discovered the Scientia derma roller, a brilliant new device used on the skin to treat acne scars and other skin conditions such as stretch marks and wrinkles.
The derma roller is a small roller with approx. 96 needles at 1.0mm in length (although other sizes are available); you roll them over the affected that you want to treat and the needles carefully open the pores on your skin triggering the healing process, resulting in your skin to produce extra collagen and elastin which, when continued over time, heals the damaged skin.
How do I know this works? I’ve tried it. I purchased my derma-roller from derma-rollers.com and it arrived the next day! I began using it straight away and after just a few days I saw a difference in my acne scars; they were now lighter in colour and less obvious on my skin and now after three months of using it you wouldn’t think I ever had acne scars, they haven’t totally faded but they are so light and smooth that they are barely even noticable any more and I am sure that if I continue to use the dermaroller every day five days a week, they will eventually completely disappear.
To remove acne scars that plague your life, buy a Scientia derma roller and then you can also tell the world your derma-roller story!

Many people could benefit from an acne diet. Who hasn’t heard that eating chocolate may make you break out. I believe we all have. If you think about it its not so far-fetched that by watching your diet you could prevent acne.
However, an acne diet can be a hard thing to develop. This type of diet is highly personal since is is based on each individual’s response to foods. Your advancement will mostly be by trial and error and not all by guidelines. Make sure you are keeping an eye on your skin. Write it all down. You might even try taking pictures with your cameral a few times a week. If and when your skin clears, stick to the diet that you were using at that time.
Here are some guidelines to get you started on an acne diet:
* Take in a lot more protein - Some dermatologists even believe that protein intake is connected to having clear skin. The reason for this belief is because protein has an enzyme that will limit the production of oils. Oily skin seems to be extremely prone to breakouts.
* Keep away from carbohydrates - Its not necessary to cut out all carbohydrates. But you should try to limit your intake so that they are about 40 percent of your diet. Carbohydrates contain compounds that stimulate oil production. This is why common knowledge says that junk food leads to acne. In reality, junk food is high in carbs.
* 3. Drink green tea - Real green tea is the best, try to drink it The best type of green tea is the kind that you brew. You may not like the real stuff so the green tea drinks will work. Green tea limits androgen production. Androgen is a hormone that can cause breakouts.
* Limit your total intake of salt - Iodine is usually found in salt. This is the reason why you hear table salt called “iodized salt.” Iodine is a major inflammatory agent in those with acne.
While watching what you eat, you should also be very careful with what you put on your face. If you currently have acne, you are more aware than most of what is contained in your beauty products. Look for oil-free moisturizers and natural or organic skin care lines. These are the least likely to irritate your skin. Consider switching over to mineral makeup. Dermatologists are under the belief that mineral makeup can fully help alleviate your acne problems while enhancing the results of your acne diet.

They say if you want to spread a rumor tell a teenager and it will be spread across the town by the next morning. True or not, there are a lot of myths, half truths and misnomers about acne which continue to be circulated by the group most likely to suffer with acne. The problem is acne myths are generally not true and can be very misleading. When searching for “how to treat acne”, taking the advice of a fellow teenager is probably not the best course to solving acne problems.
Probably the most harmful myth in how to treat acne is the statement “you just have to live with it.” This is not at all true. For mild acne there are topical treatments and exfoliates available. More advanced cases can find relief through a variety of pills taken orally.Another common myth is that it’s just a problem for teenagers. Again, not true. According to Dr. Neal Schultz on DermTV episode #22 “Debunking Acne’s Greatest Myths” he says there has been an increase in acne for women in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s.A lot of this has to do with stress in the work place or oil-based makeup. Which leads me to myth number three: you can’t cover acne with makeup. Again, according to Dr. Schultz, you can as long as you use a water-based, oil free makeup. Contrary to popular belief cortisone creams do not actually help clear up acne problems – they may help in the short term, but with repeated use will result in more pimples.
One of the most prevalent acne myths is that picking acne will create scars. I was raised with this fear of acne scars. It turns out you have to pick the scab pretty deep to make a scar. The real problem with picking at your acne is the dark spots this creates.According to Dr Schultz these scars can be more difficult than the original acne to treat.
Remember, there are a number of ways how to treat acne. You don’t have to just live with acne problems. And, while you shouldn’t pick at the acne, if you do accidentally you’re not going to permanently scar yourself. Acne myths are just that, myths. Watch the 5 min episode with Dr. Neal and find out for yourself what the truth is about acne.

I’m sure you have heard before that diet plays an important role in the condition of your skin. Others assert that an insufficient diet is irrelevant in regards to effects on the epidermis or on certain skin conditions, for instance acne. Well, you have to know, one side is proper, and that side tells you that the way you consume food certainly impacts your skin.
Poor eating habits are a contributing cause to acne and must be given the utmost consideration. If you eat the correct diet for treating your acne it will be gone forever and you will have smooth, clear skin once again.
To start, you’re going to need to learn about what foods are right for you to eat if you want acne relief. Of course you must choose fresh fruits and veggies for the bulk of your meals. Vegetables like cucumbers, lettuce, carrots, and salad greens will give your body vitamins and minerals needed to thrive, and will also help your skin replenish itself.
Fruits are also excellent for your skin, but you should only eat them in the morning if at all possible. This will allow your body the time it needs to burn off the natural sugars that are contained inside fruit.
One of the most important things to remember about a diet to treat acne is that you can’t eat the types of foods that trigger your acne and consequently make your skin break out. You should avoid deep-fried and fattening foods and those that are full of salt and sugar. If you are on a special diet for acne you have to stay away from these.
Drinking large amounts of water will also help in avoiding acne. Water helps cleanse your pores and keeps them free of acne-producing bacteria and dead skin cells by flushing the pollutants from your body.
The best cure for acne is a healthy eating regimen. This is such a great habit to develop, and you’ll see nothing but positive results the longer you follow it.

Moderate exercise is actually good for your skin. It helps you stay healthy and keep your stress levels down, too. If you find your acne is aggravated by regular exercise, then you may want to examine your routine. What do you wear? Where do you go? How hard do you work? Exercise-related acne is usually caused by something you put on your body rather something you do with it. Remove these outside factors, and you may put an end to your workout breakouts. Go to my blog to get some more tips on day to day acne care.
Here are a few more things that you should watch for…
Acne & Exercise – Make-up. When woking-out, only wear a minimal amount of make-up. Even oil-free and non-pore-clogging makeup can clog your pores if you wear it during a hard workout. When you’re done working out, wash as soon as possible.
Acne & Exercise – Sunscreen. If your regimen takes you outdoors, always wear sunscreen. While acne may improve slightly after brief periods in the sun, studies show that prolonged exposure actually promotes comedones (clogged pores) and, of course, sun damage. Some acne medicines make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so sunscreen is even more. When choosing a sunscreen, look for products that are oil-free and have a protection factor of at least SPF 15 for both UVA and UVB rays. Like make-up, as sunscreen covers your skin it can get clogged in your pores, so wash ASAP after working-out.
Acne & Exercise – Clothing. If you’re prone to body acne, avoid garments made exclusively with lycra or nylon. Why? Some synthetic fabrics can trap the heat and moisture against your skin, creating a fertile breeding ground for the bacteria that contribute to acne. For moderate exercise, your best bet is lightweight, loose-fitting cotton, or a lycra-cotton blend. Natural fabrics allow your skin to breathe, and loose clothes will not cause as much friction. If you’re exercising vigorously and working up a good sweat, however, you may want to try some of the new fabrics designed to wick moisture away from your skin.
Attention: If you want to clear up your acne ASAP, you should give Acnezine a try. For a limitted time, they are offering a RISK FREE Trial. I don’t know how they will continue to offer that deal, so check it out before it ends.
Acne & Exercise – Equipment. Some people are more likely to get acne or have their lesions aggravated in the areas affected by sports equipment. The best defense against friction-related breakouts is a good fit — make sure your helmet doesn’t slide around on your forehead, or your wetsuit isn’t too tight under the arms. You can also curb equipment-triggered breakouts by lining your helmet with a layer of soft, washable cotton fabric; it’s a great use for those old t-shirts, too. And no matter what the sport, it’s always a good idea to keep your equipment clean and dry when not in use.
Acne & Exercise – Moisture. Your Mother was right: You need to remove those wet clothes! No matter how you get your exercise — treadmill, trail, tennis court, or whatever — don’t sit around in your sweaty clothes or wet bathing suit when you’re done. If you can, shower off immediately and change into dry clothes before driving home. If that isn’t an option, put dry clothes on and wipe down the best you can. When using a towel to wipe sweat from your face, make sure the towel is clean and gently blot rather than wipe. Vigorous wiping can irritate your skin, driving make-up and sunscreen deeper into the pores.
Acne & Exercise – Showering. Again, it’s best to shower immediately after working out. You may want to use a medicated exfoliant cleanser, but always be gentle with your skin. Scrubbing harder isn’t going to make you any cleaner, or make your acne go away — and it may actually irritate existing lesions or promote the development of new ones. If showers aren’t available or you don’t have time, you should still wipe yourself off with medicated pads to prevent breakouts; keep some of them with you just in case.
So keep up the good work! A healthy exercise program is an integral part of your overall health; and a healthy body is more likely to have healthy skin. Just keep an eye on the various factors that accompany your regimen, and try to remove the acne triggers — you’ll be on your way to breakout-free workouts.
